The robot creates a 3D-scan of a patient’s anatomy to allow for a custom implant placement. Recently, Matt Knedel, MD, performed a knee replacement on a 77-year-old woman with the robot.

The Saint Agnes Foundation raised nearly $250,000 during the pandemic to help pay for the $1 million Mako.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
