Fusion Robotics is a medical device company focusing on addressing issues limiting the adoption of spinal robots.
Issues include cost, navigation interference, inefficient surgical operation and time-consuming system setup and breakdown.
Spinal robots help surgeons improve “surgical efficiency, reduce radiation exposure, standardize their practices and extend their careers,” Kevin Foley, MD, CMO of Fusion Robotics said in a Nov. 17 news release.
The company has developed a system to eliminate line-of-sight constraints and anticipate the surgeon’s next step.
Fusion Robotics plans to commercialize its 3D imaging integrated robotics platform and fluoroscopy-guided robotic technology in 2021.
