Dr. Valone specializes in cervical, minimally invasive and reconstructive spine surgery. He received his medical degree from Washington, D.C.-based George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He underwent adult and pediatric spine surgery fellowship training at St. Louis-based Washington University Medical Center and New York City-based Columbia University Medical Center.
He has authored more than 10 peer-reviewed research articles, three book chapters and given more than 20 podium and poster presentations at national and international conferences. He received the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s Young Investigator award for his research.
A former firefighter paramedic, Dr. Valone enjoys alpine mountaineering, endurance running, fly-fishing and skiing in his spare time.
