Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Jessie Dickens of Midland Memorial Hospital

Jessie Dickens, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon at Midland (Texas) Memorial Hospital and Midland-based Texas Surgical Center.

A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, he has served patients in Midland since August 2016. Dr. Dickens joined Midland-based West Texas Orthopedics, a group of orthopedic surgeons.

In May, Dr. Dickens performed the first superior capsular reconstruction procedure in Midland at Texas Surgical Center. He performs four to six total joint cases every week. 

Outside of work, Dr. Dickens enjoys spending time with family, attending church and school events and outdoor activities.

Dr. Dickens earned his medical degree from Dallas-based University of Texas Southwestern. He completed a residency at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in Lubbock and underwent fellowship trianing at Lake Tahoe Sports Medicine in Zephyr Cove, Nev.
