2 orthopedic practices in Colorado merge: 5 insights

Steamboat Orthopaedic Associates and Orthopaedics of Steamboat, both located in Steamboat Springs, Colo., are merging, according to Steamboat Pilot & Today.

Here are five insights.

1. The two orthopedic groups are forming the Steamboat Orthopaedic & Spine Institute.

2. They decided to join forces to offer comprehensive orthopedic care for patients in Northwest Colorado.

3. Eight physicians will provide care at the new institute:
• Alexander Meininger, MD
• Bryan Bomberg, MD
• Michael Sisk, MD
• Bryan Scheer, MD
• Andreas Sauerbrey, MD
• Clint Devin, MD
• Patrick Johnston, DO
• Alexis Tracey, DO

4. Steamboat Orthopaedic Associates will move into Orthopaedics of Steamboat Springs’ location in the UCHealth Medical Office Building.

5. The institute will eventually be in a new orthopedic center on the hospital’s campus.
