PeerWell unveiled a new augmented reality tool on its platform for patients recovering from spine surgery or total joint replacement.
Here are four notes.
1. The extension helps spine surgery and joint replacement patients pinpoint and avoid trip and fall hazards.
2. The Trip & Fall Hazard Detector leverages artificial intelligence to analyze a video stream coming from a patient's smartphone in real-time. The augmented reality tool warns patients of hazards via a superimposed alert on their phones.
3. The tool shares photos on the patient's phone of problem areas as well as instructions on how to fix them.
4. PeerWell's platform already features smartphone-based range of motion assessments, autonomous care path creation and data tracking per episode of care.
