Dr. West joined Inova in July 2014 and serves as chairman of Inova Sports Medicine with 21 years of professional experience.
An accomplished marathon runner and triathlete, Dr. West is the Washington Nationals lead team physician and the Washington Redskins head team physician . She is the past head team physician for Pittsburgh-based Carnegie Mellon University and for University of Pittsburgh’s men’s basketball, wrestling, gymnastics and swimming/diving programs, as well as a past Pittsburgh Steelers assistant team physician.
Dr. West graduated from the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. She completed both an internship and residency at the George Washington University Medical Center before undergoing fellowship training at Pittsburgh-based Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC Sports Medicine.
