Here’s what you need to know.

1. UBERDOC allows patients to make appointments with doctors they want to see and without needing a referral.

2. Dr. Rocket notes that physicians using UBERDOC can also benefit from seeing more patients than a typical referral system and an increased exposure.

3. Physicians can upload appointment times available to UBERDOC and patients can then schedule appointments. If surgery is needed, patients can seek out a referral for the procedure.

4. Physicians pay a fee to enroll in UBERDOC, which is typically lower somewhere between insurance company and Medicare reimbursement.

5. Physicians working in private practice are the driving force for UBERDOC and similar platforms.
