Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Brian Subach of Virginia Spine Institute

 Brian Subach, MD, is a spine surgeon and president of the Reston-based Virginia Spine Institute.

Dr. Subach is also chief scientific officer and board member for the Spinal Research Foundation and editor in chief of the Journal of the Spinal Research Foundation.

 

Board certified in spine and neurosurgery, Dr. Subach is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He is also a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society and Young Presidents Organization.

 

After earning his medical degree from the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor, Dr. Subach completed his residency at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Subach underwent fellowship training at the Emory Clinic in Atlanta.
