Orthopedic surgeon to know: Dr. Frances Cuome of Montefiore Medical Center

Frances Cuome, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon and chief of shoulder and elbow services at the Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, N.Y.

Dr. Cuome’s clinic interests include open and arthroscopic shoulder surgery for arthritis, instability, rotator cuff injuries and fractures. Her research interests include fracture management and fixation, rotator cuff outcomes and replacement shoulder surgery.

 

After earning her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine in New York City, Dr. Cuome completed her residency at the New York City-based Lenox Hill Hospital. Dr. Cuome also underwent fellowship training at the New-York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City.
