Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Richard Meyrat of Methodist Moody Brain and Spine Institute

Richard Meyrat, MD, is a neurosurgeon currentlys serving as the medical director of Neurosurgery and Stroke at Dallas-based Methodist Mansfield Medical Center.

Dr. Meyrat is a member of the American Association of Neurological surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons and Texas Association of Neurological Surgeons. He specializes in cranial and spinal trauma, spinal deformity, skull base surgery, artificial disc replacement, complex malignant and benign tumors and minimally invasive spine surgery.

 

Dr. Meyrat graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed his residency at Houston-based Baylor College of Medicine before following that up with a fellowship at France-based Centre Hospitalier Universite Victor Segalen Bordeaux, where he focused on dynamic stabilization including disc replacement technology and endoscopic technique.
