EOS Imaging Receives FDA 510(k) Clearance on Lower Limb Imaging System

EOS, a Cambridge, Mass.-based imaging company, has received FDA 510(k) clearance of its sterEOS 3D orthopedic imaging work station for use in lower limb applications in patients 15 years and older, according to a company news release.

The workstation creates three-dimensional weight-bearing rendering of the patient’s skeletal anatomy at an irradiation level more than 100 times lower than the 3D CT scan. The workstation is designed to enable pre- and post-operative surgical planning.
