Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. David Antezana of the Providence Portland Medical Center

David Antezana, MD, is a board-certified neurosurgeon and the chief of neurosurgery at the Providence Portland (Ore.) Medical Center.

His subspecialties included scoliosis, spinal tumors and several other specialties.

 

Dr. Anetzana’s career began after he earned his medical degree from Minneapolis’ University of Minnesota. He completed a residency and fellowship at Baltimore’s Johns Hopkins Hospital.

 

Dr. Antezana serves as Providence Health & Services’ lead investigator on two National Institutes of Health-sponsored clinical trials.

 

He is a renowned researcher and has presented research on neurophysiological monitoring in surgery at several international neurosurgical conferences.

 

Outside of his professional career, Dr. Antezana is an avid mountaineer and family man.
