Dr. William Meyers to perform surgery on Baltimore Orioles’ Hunter Harvey: 4 notes

William Meyers, MD, is slated to perform sports hernia surgery on Baltimore Orioles’ pitcher Hunter Harvey, according to Sports Media 101.

1. The surgery is expected to sideline Mr. Harvey for four to six weeks.

 

2. Dr. Meyers established Vincera Institute in Philadelphia in 2013. He currently serves as the institute’s president and chairman.  

 

3. He focuses on core muscle injuries as well as hernia and hydrocele repair.

 

4. He has evaluated and treated numerous professional players from the National Football League, National Hockey League, National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball and Major League Soccer.
