Safe Orthopaedics launches fenestrated screw in Europe

Safe Orthopaedics announced the European launch of its new fenestrated screw.

It also announced that the first six surgeries performed with the screw on patients with osteoporosis were successfully completed. The fenestrated screw has lateral windows that enable cement to be injected into osteoporotic vertebra in order to strengthen the screw’s anchoring to the bone. The screw also includes preassembled single-use instruments.
