The patent strength is rated annually in the IEEE Spectrum, a publication of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. ConforMIS is the only company to market a fully customized knee implant for total knee replacements using a proprietary production process and technology platform that creates an implant based on a CT scan of each patient’s knee.

The company has patient-specific implants for partial and total knee replacement.

“We are especially pleased to be named among so many global technology leaders, such as Apple, Microsoft, IBM, 3M and Google, who were also named as top-ranked in the patent strength in their sectors,” said CEO and Chairman Philipp Lang, MD, MBA.
