The hospital has recruited Isador Lieberman, MD, an internationally recognized spine surgeon, to serve as the program’s medical director. Under Dr. Lieberman’s direction, the center will enhance the current back, spine and orthopedic services offered at Texas Health Plano. Dr. Lieberman previously served as chairman of the spine department at Cleveland Clinic.
“We are very proud to welcome Dr. Isador Lieberman and herald the establishment of this new and highly sophisticated Scoliosis & Spine Tumor Center,” Jeffrey Canose, MD, president of Texas Health Plano, said in the release. “It is a tribute to Texas Health Plano that this nationally recognized surgical specialist has chosen to join our team. This adds still another dimension and layer to the strong foundation of medical services, technologies and clinical excellence that we offer our patients and community.”
The Scoliosis and Spine Tumor Center offers preventative, medical and surgical care to patients suffering from scoliosis, kyphosis, spondylolisthesis, spinal tumors and spinal issues requiring complex treatment and reconstruction.
