A ribbon cutting was held at the center on Jan. 3. The sports medicine physicians at the center are experienced in caring for athletes at all levels with a variety of sports-related injuries. Physicians use advanced techniques such as platelet-rich plasma therapy along with surgical and non-surgical procedures.
“We want to encourage our community to be active through every chapter of their life,” said Amy Black, DNP, RN, vice president and COO of Sentara MJH. “We want to do whatever we can do to support their desires to stay fit and continue the activities they love while preventing injuries and strengthening their musculoskeletal system.”
