Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute opens new center

Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute has opened a facility in Baptist Health’s 112,000-square-foot complex in Plantation, Fla.

Four things to know:

1. The center features a physical therapy facility for treating orthopedic and sports medicine injuries.

2. The Baptist Health complex provides the full spectrum of spine and orthopedic care, and also includes primary care, cardiology and cancer care.

3. John Uribe, MD, serves as CMO for Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute, which has 29 physicians and more than 10 practice locations, according to its website.

4. The group has several partnerships with professional sports organizations, including the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, Florida Panthers and Miami F.C.
