Kansas hospital to serve as official care provider to community college

Hutchinson (Kan.) Regional Medical Center will serve as the exclusive athletic provider to Hutchinson Community College, The Hutchinson News reports.

Injured athletes will now go to Hutchinson Regional for medical care. The college has an active athletics program, with some 350 athletes enrolled.

Hutchinson Regional recently opened an 18-bed orthopedics unit after completing a $2.67 million remodel on a previously unused part of the hospital. Erik Severud, MD, will serve as the school’s team physician.
