Fordham Athletics names new medical provider — 5 notes

Fordham University Athletics in New York named Columbia Orthopaedics as the medical provider.

Here are five notes:

 

1. The medical team includes head team physician, George Zambetti, MD, and associate team physician, T. Sean Lynch, MD.

 

2. Drs. Zambetti and Lynch will provide orthopedic care for Fordham’s 22 varsity teams and will coordinate the athletes’ medical needs with subspecialists at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

 

3.  Dr. George Zambetti has served as Fordham’s head team physician since 1981 and is a member of the Fordham University Hall of Fame.

 

4. Dr. T. Sean Lynch has authored various publications on sports injuries and has received many research grants.

 

5. ColumbiaDoctors is comprised of 1,500 physicians, surgeons, dentists and advanced nurse practitioners.
