Spine surgeon leader to know: Dr. Paul Jensen of Alaska Native Medical Center

Paul Jensen, MD, is a neurosurgeon practicing at Alaska Native Medical Center located in Fairbanks, Alaska. Dr. Jensen has been on various surgical missions before performing neurosurgical care for native Alaskans at the medical center.

Dr. Jensen’s mission is to provide superior spine care for the citizens of Fairbanks. Alaska Native Medical Center is one of the first four hospitals in the United States to introduce intraoperative CT scanning and other innovative technologies including spine navigation and intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring during surgery.

 

Dr. Jensen was trained in neurosurgery at the Ohio State University. He went on to achieve his fellowships in Sweden and then MD Anderson Hospital in Houston Texas.
