Dr. William Meyers performs surgery on New Orleans Pelican’s Jrue Holiday: 3 notes

William C. Meyers, MD, performed surgery March 26 to repair a core muscle at the center of New Orleans Pelican Guard Jrue Holiday’s abdominal strain,The New Orleans Advocate reports.

1. The strain ended Mr. Holiday’s 2018-19 season, and he missed eight games before surgery due to the injury.

2. He is expected to be able to return to basketball in six weeks.

3. Dr. Meyers specializes in core muscle injuries at the Philadelphia-based Vincera Institute.
