Assisted by Andrew Moulton, MD, Dr. Joseph performed two surgeries in two days on a patient with debilitating back pain who underwent several prior spine surgeries.
The first surgery removed the old spinal fusion hardware, consisting of several vertical pedicle screws. In the second procedure, he implanted the Aries-L, which features lateral pedicle screws.
The titanium device has a multi-axis mesh and micro surface topology to facilitate fusion.
Aries-L’s anatomic profile and anti-migrational teeth are designed to reduce recovery time by helping enhance procedural efficiency.
