1. Dr. Malhotra performed the procedure at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

 

2. Specifically, the procedure was an endoscopic percutaneous lumbar spinal nerve decompression and discectomy.

 

3. He serves as an assistant professor of neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery as well as vice chairman of operations in the hospital’s neurosurgery department.

 

4. Dr. Malhotra is also the co-director of Penn Medicine’s Translational Spine Research Lab and director of the Neurosurgery Quality Improvement Initiative.

 

5. Dr. Malhotra completed his residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
