Dr. Neal ElAttrache to examine Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias — 4 insights

Neal ElAttrache, MD, of the Los Angeles-based Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic, will examine the left shoulder of Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias, reports Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times on Twitter.

Here’s what you should know:

 

1. Mr. Urias was placed on the disabled list with left shoulder soreness. Los Angeles Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts said the team hopes Mr. Urias was only dealing with inflammation.

 

2. Mr. Urias made his major league debut during the 2016 season at 19 years old.

 

3. Dr. ElAttrache, a renowned orthopedic surgeon, is the chairman of the board and program director for the Kerlan-Jobe fellowship and the team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

 

4. He is also an orthopedic consultant to the Anaheim Ducks, St. Louis Rams, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Kings and the PGA Tour.
