Dr. James Andrews to perform Tommy John on Mariners Drew Smyly; 12 to 15 months of rehab expected

James Andrews, MD, will perform Tommy John surgery on the left elbow of Seattle Mariners’ pitcher Drew Smyly.

1. The surgery is scheduled for July 6.

 

2. The Mariners placed Mr. Smyly on the 10-day disabled list on April 2. He left a spring training game with a left arm flexor strain.
