Dr. James Andrews performs surgery on Auburn Tigers’ Tyler Queen: 4 points

James Andrews, MD, will perform shoulder surgery on Auburn Tigers quarterback Tyler Queen, according to 247 Sports report.

1. Mr. Queen is expected to have fully recovered by September.

 

2. Dr. Andrews founded the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Fla. He is also president and chairman of the board of the Andrews Research and Education Foundation.

 

3. He is the orthopedic medical director for the Tampa Bay Rays as well as a senior consultant for the Washington Redskins.

 

4. He is a past president of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
