David J. Chao, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with two decades of NFL team physician experience, evaluated medical reports of key NFL draftees in an article for National Football Post.

 

Stephen Eckrich, MD, orthopedic surgeon at Rapid City, S.D.-based Black Hills Orthopedic & Spine Center and representative of South Dakota State Orthopaedic Society accepted their award for the 2015 State Society of the Year from AAOS.

 

Pasquale Petrera, MD, of Salisbury, Md.-based Peninsula Orthopaedic Associates, will now be performing minimally invasive hip replacement surgery using the direct anterior approach for the association.

 

David W. Altchek, MD, of Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, performed shouldersurgery on Cleveland Cavaliers’ star forward Kevin Love

 

Jeffrey M. Mjaanes, MD, and Joshua Blomgren, DO, of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Chicago, have been designated as team physicians for Major League Soccer’s Chicago Fire Soccer Club.

 

Michael O’Boyle, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with Greenville, S.C.-based Bon Secours Medical Group, was honored with the Lewis W. Blackman Patient Safety Champion Award in the Caregiver category at the 8th Annual South Carolina Transforming Health Symposium.

 

Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Md., named Ashleigh E. Korves, DPM, associate chief of podiatry.
