4 sports medicine physicians on the move in May

Here are five sports medicine physicians who recently joined new practices or took on new positions in in the past month.

David Johannesmeyer, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with a subspecialty in sports medicine, joined Lowcountry Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Summerville, S.C.

Premier Orthopedics has added Eric W. Fester, MD, to its staff. He specializes in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine.

Michael Murphy, DO, an orthopedic and sports medicine physician of DuPage Medical Group, joins professional baseball team the Joliet Slammers in Illinois as head team physician.

Orthopedic surgeon at Emory Sports Medicine Center in North Druid Hills, Ga., Kyle Hammond, MD, has been named head team physician for the Atlanta Falcons.
