3 things to know about Tiger Shark, ChoiceSpine’s new porous titanium interbody device

ChoiceSpine launched the Tiger Shark porous interbody device at the American Association of Neurological Surgeons’ Annual Scientific Meeting May 1.

Here are three things to know.

1. The 3D-manufactured, titanium alloy interbody device is created with a proprietary porous structure called BioBond.

2. Tiger Shark was designed with a sizable graft window, large bony in-growth surface area and variety of anatomical footprints. The Tiger Shark interbody device has a smooth, bulleted-shape, leading edge for quick insertion for posterior, transforaminal and lateral surgical approaches.

3. Tiger Shark received FDA 510(k) clearance in January 2018. It is intended to help surgeons restore sagittal balance with an interbody device that offers favorable osseointegration potential.
