DePuy Synthes to promote Fibergraft for spine fusion: 4 insights

DePuy Synthes entered into an exclusive agreement with Prosidyan to promote the Fibergraft product family for spine fusion surgery.

Here are four things to know.

1. Fibergraft is a line of ultra-porous synthetic bone graft materials designed for optimal resorption during spine fusion surgery.

2. Founded in 2009, Prosidyan developed the Fibergraft family of synthetic bioactive bone graft substitutes based on microsized bioactive glass fibers.

3. Approximately 400,000 patients in the U.S. undergo spine fusion surgery each year. Fibergraft products have been used for more than 10,000 patients across the U.S.

4. DePuy Synthes will begin promoting Fibergraft in the second quarter of 2018.
