West Virginia-based Cabell Huntington Hospital adds neurosurgeon: 5 things to know

Fellowship-trained neurosurgeon Alastair T. Hoyt, MD, has joined Cabell Huntington Hospital in West Virginia, according to WOWK-TV.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Dr. Hoyt specializes in neurosurgery, treating disorders or injuries to the brain, spinal cord or peripheral nerves.

 

2. He has experience in Gamma Knife Radiosurgery.

 

3. Cabell Huntington added him to the medical and dental team.

 

4. He received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska in Omaha.

 

5. Dr. Hoyt completed a residency in neurosurgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and did a fellowship at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix.
