St. Petersburg General Hospital appoints Dr. Ahmad Nematbakhsh to board of trustees

St. Petersburg (Fla.) General Hospital appointed several new members to the board of trustees, including spine surgeon Ahmad Nematbakhsh, DO, according to a report from Tampa Bay Newspaper.

Dr. Nematbakhsh has practiced at Pinellas Medical Associates in St. Petersburg. Here are five things to know about Dr. Nematbakhsh:

 

1. He is board-certified by the American Osteopathic Association.
2. Earned his DO at Des Moines University.
3. Completed a fellowship in orthopedic spine surgery at Cleveland Clinic.
4. He is chief of surgery at St. Petersburg General.
5. Surgical procedures include balloon kyphoplasty, ACL surgery, spinal cord repair and reconstructive spinal surgery for scoliosis.
