Proprio, a surgical AI company, partnered with the Harms Study Group to study spine surgery outcomes, according to a Nov. 12 news release.

The Proprio–HSG Research Collaborative will connect real-time intraoperative data from the Paradigm platform with HSG’s global outcomes registry to build a foundation for research in pediatric spine deformity care.

Propiro’s Paradigm system combines proprietary computer vision, light-field imaging and AI for 3D visualization during surgery.

“For more than 30 years, the Harms Study Group has set the global standard for collaborative spine research,” Proprio CEO Gabriel Jones, said in the release. “Their registry is one of the most important data assets in medicine. With the power of AI and computer vision, Paradigm can now build on those decades of learning, turning insight into a continuously learning system that measures, learns, and improves with every surgery.”
