Pain medicine physician joins Jagannathan Neurosurgery: 3 insights

Board-certified pain medicine physician and anesthesiologist Melanie Novak, MD, joined Detroit-based Jagannathan Neurosurgery.

Here are three things to know:

1. Dr. Novak will serve as an interventional pain specialist at the practice’s West Branch, Mich., and Troy, Mich., locations.

2. She has nearly three decades of comprehensive pain management experience and provides epidural steroid injections, cervical and lumbar nerve block injections, various joint injections and rhizotomies.

3. Dr. Novak received her medical degree from Chicago-based Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and underwent pain management fellowship training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
