Sarasota (Fla.) Memorial Hospital has become the first hospital in the region to add the Aprevo spine implant for replacing damaged or diseased vertebral discs in the lumbar area of the spine.

Surgeons at Dunkirk, N.Y.-based Brooks Hospital have performed the first spine surgery in the facility's 125-year history, according to an April 13 report from Observer Today.
