Osage Beach, Mo.-based Lake Regional Hospital welcomed Fassil Mesfin, MD, PhD, according to Lake Expo.

1. Dr. Mesfin specializes in single-level lumbar microdiscectomies and laminectomies as well as single-level anterior cervical discectomies and fusion.

2. A board-certified neurosurgeon, Dr. Mesfin is also affiliated with Columbia-based University of Missouri Health Care, where he serves as director of the complex spine and spine oncology program.

3. Dr. Mesfin treats patients with spinal cord injuries, spinal stenosis, lumbar stenosis and spinal malformations.
