Neurosurgeon Dr. Yoshua Esquenazi joins UTHealth, Memorial Hermann Mischer Neuroscience Institute — 5 highlights

Texas Medical Center’s Memorial Hermann Mischer Neuroscience Institute and UTHealth’s McGovern Medical School, both located in Houston, welcomed Yoshua Esquenazi, MD, to the team, according to Katy Magazine.

Here are five highlights:

 

1. Dr. Esquenazi will serve as an assistant professor in the Vivian L. Smith Department of Neurosurgery and will provide care at Mischer Neuroscience Associates.

 

2. He specializes in spine and brain metastases, lymphoma, glioblastoma, meningiomas and brainstem tumors.

 

3. He utilizes the following treatment methods: total resection and reconstruction for spinal tumors, brain mapping for awake craniotomies, stereotactic laser ablation, intraventricular endoscopy and radiosurgery.

 

4. He completed a neuro-oncology and spine tumor fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City.

 

5. Dr. Esquenazi is also fluent in Spanish.
