Neurosurgeon Dr. Nicolas Phan joins Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine: 5 notes

Huntington, W.Va.-based Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine welcomed Nicolas Phan, MD, to its neurosurgery department, according to huntingtonnews.net.

1. Dr. Phan will serve as an associate professor.

 

2. He specializes in treating traumatic brain injury, decompressive cranial surgery, spinal cord injuries and neuro-oncolology.

 

3. He performs degenerative spine surgery and minimally invasive spine surgery.

 

4. Dr. Phan previously served as an assistant neurosurgery professor at the University of Toronto/Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

 

5. He completed his neurotrauma fellowship at the University of Toronto and his neurosurgery/neurotrauma fellowship at the University of San Francisco.
