Neurosurgeon brings TLIF to Bayshore Medical Center: 5 things to know

Hackensack Meridian Health Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, N.J., now offers patients transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion back surgery thanks to Howard Eisenbrock, DO.

Here are five things to know:

 

1. Patients who visit Dr. Eisenbrock for TLIF surgery are admitted for two to three days. Dr. Eisenbrock has the patients in physical therapy the day following surgery and conducts follow-up visits two weeks later.

 

2. TLIF surgery is recommended for patients suffering form disabling lower back and leg symptoms that have not improved with non-surgical treatments.

 

3. Board certified in neurosurgery, Dr. Eisenbrock also underwent fellowship training at Boston-based New England Baptist Hospital.

 

4. Dr. Eisenbrock earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree and completed his residency at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

 

5. Bayshore Medical Center is a 211-bed nonprofit community hospital.
