NASS exposes Lyon Township students to healthcare careers: 4 takeaways

La Grange, Ill.-based Lyon Township high school students visited North American Spine Society’s Spine Education Research Center in Burr Ridge, Ill., to learn more about healthcare careers.

Here are four takeaways:

 

1. The students experienced what it would be like as a bio-skills laboratory technology manager.

 

2. The experience exposed the students to laboratory equipment and frozen tissue.

 

3. The 25 students are a part of the Future Healthcare Professional Club, which educates about various healthcare careers and fields.

 

4. Opened in 2007, SERC is a training facility to foster advancements in patient care.
