Interventional pain management specialist Joseph Amos, MD, joined McGovern Medical School at UTHealth and Memorial Hermann Mischer Neuroscience Associates, both located in Houston, according to Katy Magazine.

1. Dr. Amos has a special interest in treating complex regional pain syndrome, musculoskeletal/myofascial pain syndromes, neck and low back pain, post-laminectomy pain syndrome, radiculopathies and sports-related injuries.

 

2. Board certified in pain medicine as well as physical medicine and rehabilitation, Dr. Amos is an expert pain management panelist for the Texas Medical Board.

 

3. Publications including Journal of Biology and Chemistry, Journal of Virology, Cell, Journal of Genetics and Development and Developmental Genetics have published Dr. Amos’ research.

 

4. Before joining UTHealth and MNA, Dr. Amos was in private practice in Houston.

 

5. After earning his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Dr. Amos completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at the Baylor College of Medicine/UTHealth Alliance for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Houston.
