‘Medical cowboy’ & neurosurgeon named to Oklahoma research foundation board of directors

Barry Pollard, MD, was named to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation’s board of directors, according to the Enid News & Eagle.

Dr. Pollard has practiced neurosurgery for 36 years and owns P&K Equipment and Pollard Farms. He serves on the board of the American Angus Association. Dr. Pollard is a Stillwater-based Oklahoma State University Presidents Medallion member and founding member of OSU’s Medical Cowboys. He was inducted into the OSU Hall of Fame in 2017 and was named the 2016 Enid Pillar of the Plains.

He received his medical degree from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.
