Neurovascular surgeon Soliman Oushy, MD, has joined Cincinnati-based Mayfield Brain & Spine, where he will specialize in the treatment of strokes, aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations for patients across Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.
He will see patients at Mayfield’s Norwood office, located in Cincinnati, and perform procedures at six regional hospitals, according to an Aug. 5 system release.
Dr. Oushy earned his medical degree from the Aurora-based University of Colorado School of Medicine and completed his neurosurgery residency at the Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic, followed by fellowships in neuroendovascular, pediatric cerebrovascular and cerebrovascular surgery. He also performs minimally invasive spine and brain procedures, including surgery for tumors and trigeminal neuralgia.
His addition supports Mayfield’s growing network of stroke centers, including a new interventional stroke program at the Cincinnati-based Christ Hospital.
