Marshall University neuroscience program in West Virginia gets facelift: 5 notes

Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine in Huntington, W. Va., will add a neurosurgery department, according to WTRF.com.

Here are five notes about the departments:

 

1. The school will divide the neuroscience program into a department of neurosurgery and a department of neurology.

 

2. Anthony Alberico, MD, will be the chairman of the department of neurosurgery.

 

3. Dr. Alberico graduated from the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and finished a residency at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.

 

4. A board-certified neurosurgeon, Dr. Alberico specializes in spinal disorders.

 

5. Marshall University welcomed him in 2007.
