Dr. Tina Cervieri joins American Spine — 5 highlights

American Spine, based in Frederick, Md., welcomed orthopedic surgeon Tina Cervieri, MD, to its team.

Here are five highlights:

 

1. American Spine and Dr. Cervieri will combine efforts to further develop and enhance the sports medicine program for the group.

 

2. Dr. Cervieri earned her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at University of California, Los Angeles in Los Angeles and completed her residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. She also completed a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Ala.

 

3. Previously, Dr. Cervieri worked as an orthopedic surgeon for the Department of Veterans Affairs serving veterans in the Capital Health Care Network. She served as assistant chief of surgery and chief of orthopedic surgery at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center.

 

4. Since 2006, Dr. Cervieri has served as team physician for U.S. Figure Skating, and she has provided treatment to students and residents of West Virginia University in Morgantown, Alderson-Broaddus University in Philippi, W.Va., Howard University in Washington, D.C., and Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va.

 

5. American Spine is a physician group with locations in Maryland and Pennsylvania that treats painful conditions of the back and neck, as well as other musculoskeletal ailments using minimally invasive-endoscopic techniques.
