Spine surgeon Matthew Follett, MD, was the first in the U.S. to use a new anterior cervical discectomy device from Alphatec.
Dr. Follett, of Synergy Orthopedic Specialists in San Diego, used Alphatec’s IdentiTi II porous interbody system, according to a Dec. 19 news release. His patient is two months post-surgery and has had a complete resolution of her preoperative pain.
The implant is 3D-printed and provides a tailored approach to surgery.
