The procedure — an L-4-5 posterior lumbar interbody fusion — took place at Bon Secours Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, Va.
The implant includes a specialized curvature that enables surgeons to expose the least amount of anatomy necessary to complete their procedure. Also, the implant is shaped to conform to the patient’s natural anatomy.
