Khalid Kurtom, MD, is taking a team of Easton, Md.-based surgeons on a medical mission trip to Honduras in January, The Star Democrat reports.

1. This is Dr. Kurtom’s second medical mission trip.

2. The team will perform several minimally invasive neurological procedures during the trip.

3. The trip to Honduras comes two years after Dr. Kurtom took his first medical mission trip to Amman, Jordan.

4. Dr. Kurtom said the entire trip will cost around $40,000. The team has raised $20,000 and is turning to crowdfunding for the remainder.
